Josh, tisk, tisk. My son has heard so much about this bad stuff. On the second day of school in second grade, he made a joke to his teacher about guns. The next thing I know, I'm in the pricipal's office with a kid that's been kicked out for two days. The message was loud and clear: don't joke about it. My son didn't even know why he was being punished. I told him how nervous people are (rightly so) and explained that destruction, killing, bombing, etc. in schools are not subjects that you can joke about. It's something that needs to be reported to the proper people. Of course, I feel that you are innocently joking but be aware of the consequences. I'm just lucky they didn't send me and son to counseling. The principal said he knew that it was a joke but it is a requirement to investigate all such sayings. Frankly, that makes me feel better about that school.
