Not quite sure why I'm bothering, but let's indulge you on this one, Skull.

I never said I hadn't picked a side. I never said you had. All I'm saying is that your fanboyism of the XBox blinds you from seeing that it's not as awesome as you seem to think.

So, I haven't picked a side, yet I'm an Xbox fanboy? That's a weird start, but ok.

I never said you can't be a PS4 fan, at the same time, too. Though judging by the way you're defending the XBox One, it does make it seem like you're leaning more towards that console (not claiming that as a fact).

Not it doesn't. Not claiming it as fact is sensible, because it's a silly notion. I can be a fan of both consoles. Why not? People can like multiple devices equally. Just because I'm talking about one, that in no way reflects my opinion of another. To think so is... fanboyish?

If I did say you have picked a side, I'd say it shows most when you call people who state facts, idiots.

Strawman again. You're misappropriating my words. People stating facts aren't idiots. That would be foolish of me to say. I'm saying that a lot of the naysayers think they know the facts, but don't, because they only listen to PR and what their friends have said. Therefore people often don't see the whole picture. Nothing wrong with stating facts.

If they say the console really doesn't work for them because of certain things, does that make them idiots? According to you, yes (even though you claim this reason of calling them 'idiots' comes from an entirely different source, but I highly doubt it does).

Again, not true, and you're completely ignoring what I said and making it up now. Do I think saying "That console isn't good for my needs I don't want it." makes you an idiot? No, of course not! Do I think people saying "Argh, that console is ducking rubbish it's nowhere near as good as this other console!" are idiots? Perhaps that's closer to the mark.

Neither console has even been released yet. There's a big difference between "not suitable for me and I don't want it" and "it's awful and shoot and wow microsoft go duck yourselves." For example, I know a guy for who the XBox One is far better than the PS4 for his particular circumstance, due to the account sharing stuff. It'll save him a lot of money. In his situation, it's great. For someone living out in the sticks without a good internet connection? It's not suitable.

The fact that you also say "Both look awesome", when the PS4 has clearly proven to be the better gaming console, makes it seem like you are picking XBox's side, and does make you seem like a blind fanboy.

Clearly proven? Really? It's far too early for such a judgement. It's got better core specs, true, but that doesn't transfer to being a better gaming console. PS3 has huge problems with updating games when compared to the 360. Have Sony fixed their infrastructure in this area? I hope so, because they've got almost everything else spot on so far.

I think both consoles look superb and I think they represent good options for different markets. PS4 looks like the best bet for games at the moment, particularly with the lower price point. Xbox One offers a whole lot of stuff in other areas as well as games, though a lot of this is, as Kyle said, not really fitted well for our region.

What's best? Neither. It depends what is good for the individual.
