As for visual novels, I really enjoy playing/reading Silent Conversation. Sadly, there's not many levels.
The "The Nameless City" levels are what makes it, in my opinion. Though the one chapter from "Alice in Wonderland" is done quite well, too.
Admittedly, the scoring system of this one is not necessary, and I could've done without the "powerful words", but the level design is quite neat. When the text describes "a gust of wind", you actually see the words "a gust of wind" flowing past you.
