: Let me guess, you get that nice blue screen of death don't you? All you need to do is reinstall the OS on top of the old one, and it will work fine. XP seems not to like when you change hardware. Also, if you bought DDR memory, make sure that it's in the spped range (if you bought PC2700, it might not be supported if you have a older MotherBoard).

with a dutch manual, DUH
No, I dont get the blue screen of death. I dont get a loop error. It just doesnt start, it hangs, I just let my computer on for 1 hour, and win xp was still "loading" you get the idea. A clean format is what I need... Mmm, I had graphical problems when I placed that old s3trio videocard too... Maybe a fresh install is a good idea.
