For some reason I cannot get any midi file to play.
at the start of the game or in it.
I have everything in place.
I was wondering if anyone ever had that problem.
And if I could fix it.

Start->programs->accessories->entertainment->volume control.
Make sure Master Volume, Wave, and SW Synth aren't muted or turned all the way down.
If that doesn't work make sure your speakers are plugged in tight and not muted.

The sound on my computer works.

I did have it working
but it will not play midi files anymore.

You checked the SW Synth? That's usually the problem.

Using windows media player can actually be what causes this problem. It seems that windows media player changes the SW Synth when you turn down the volume in windows media player, but it doesn't turn it back up correctly.
I know, whenever I play one in media player it mutes the SW synth. I just thought that if they weren't playing there either then that probably wasn't the problem.
