Odd (tile?) bug.
Legend of the Duck
In the forest and underground there's an odd thing happening with the tiles: whenever I enter those areas the tiles are the same as the last screen I was on before, even including some sprites now drawn to the background! If I save the game in those areas then when I load all the tiles are white (snow). It seems to be a problem only on those screens which use ts39.bmp, included with the D-Mod.
Screenshot 1 and 2, both after coming out of the house (but NOT on the house screen!).
Anyone else had this bug, and/or know what's causing it?

I haven't run into this problem- yet! But I'm still trying to get in the castle in the snow lands. I keep saying the chant, but all dink says is "something like... that doesn't work".
If you figure out HOW to get in, then let me know! Thanx, Lance.

hmm... that IS an odd bug! maybe it is a buggy warp script? i will download this file and check it out and see if i can find any reasonable answer. if it is a script related problem, then maybe the author forgot to put in draw_screen(); and/or load_screen();
btw did you know that if the screen is covered with a tile that doesn't exist (indigo/blue in windinkedit) whwnever you enter the screen in dink, the tiles will be exactly the same as the screen you came from!

That's what's happening, but the tiles do look right in WDE+ they just don't work in-game. It happens just by walking onto the next screen so I don't think it's to do with a script.

I just did the Dark Forest, and I didn't seem to have a problem with tile overlays, or dup tiles in the background. Don't know what to tell you Sparrowhawk. I am having the same trouble as Lance though, on getting into the castle. Maybe one of the pillbugs got loose inside the program executable.
Are you'all saying that we should "GIVE IT UP"??????????????/ Is there a way that this Dmod can be fixed??????????
One thing I DO like about this message board is: At LEAST everyone's got a sence if humor!!

DIIK (Darned If I Know) Lance. So far I like the DMOD, albeit it has a little too much walking, but it is put together well upto the point of the Castle problem. Since I am a relative newbie at DMOD building, I'm not sure as to how to go about fixing it. But I'm sure one of the "Old Timer" DMOD builders could probably come up with a fix or patch. Does anyone know if the original author is still around? Maybe they could do a fast fix.
