gimp shadow producing plugin...
hey guys, do anyof you use the GIMP?? its simply one of the best image creators/editors around, MUCH better then photoshop IMHO...anyway, i was thinking of creating a plugin for the GIMP which produces shadows, offset at a set angle, and a set density...any ideas?? it's be more usefull for long shadows, but still... i guess you'd need a direction variable, and a length variable...
hmmmmmm
Good idea... direction is good, just needs to match the standard Dink of Sout-West, or is it SSW. Is Gimp for windows reliable? And use the standard black/white dot pattern for filling in the shape.

gimp for windows is NOT 100% reliable. it sometimes crashes, and i think you need to install GTK for windows first. not sure about that, as i use the linux version. but still, it kicks photoshop up and down the hall. literally. can you hear that?? its photoshop crying for mercy.. "WILL YOU TWO CUT THAT OUT??"..there.. its quiet again...for 5 minutes...
yeah, but the direction should be customisable in case people want to change the shadow direction or something... ill add it to my list of things to do...
