Does anybody here have Vista already? If so, does it support Dink 1.08? If yes I'm gonna purchase Vista with my new pc next month, else I'll stay with XP.

Any fool can use a computer. Many do.
So you're saying that a decade old game determines your next operating system?

I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to.I guess.
You need the directx10 and gigahertz-clocked video cards to run the intensity that is Dink Smallwood.

Yeah you can easily run Dink v1.08 on Vista and it looks great on Windows Aero(especially in windowed mode). But there arises a problem when using WinDinkEdit on Vista Aero. Even my ATI X1600 with 512VRam finds it difficult to run WinDinkEdit on full screen mode. It runs darn slow.
But except this, Dink Smallwood runs pretty smoothly on Vista.

Here is a screenshot
But isn't vista a bit expensive, I spent a lot of money(my father's money actually) in buying it.

Chop your own wood, and it will warm you twice.
I heard that windows Vista doesn't have a Command Prompt. Is it true?

It's all in the mind, you know
I read on another post recently (can't remember which one) that WinDinkEdit works much better in 16-bit colour mode, which I've found to be true. Although going to 16-bit on Vista may make things look bad, but I dunno.
