I really liked SOB and PQ.
But, I think that SimonK is busy and Necro. would never resume.
Q. So what can other dinkers do?

MO- Well, some other (good)dmod maker could continue from where SimonK left. And both can contribute(supervision-SimonK) to finish the long awaited SOB3.

I found 1 site(maybe you all know about it) about a newer version of Dink being developed by some people. Due to lack of artists they closed the project. They have provided a e-mail to contact them, so that they can handover what they have done to somebody willing to complete.

A) The DDMODD project has probably been dead for three or four years. I vaguely remember it.
B) I don't think I would trust anyone else to work on Necromancer. Love it or hate it, SimonK has his own distinct style that I've seen nobody else come close to replicating. Though I doubt Simon's toiling away at it hour after hour, I trust that it'll come out eventually. And it's not as though he's running out of time... the community's still alive after nine years, and I'd say it's just as big as it has been since about five years ago (though yes, many of the productive members have left or retired their efforts).

I talked to him about it and he said that it's not closed but he has not worked on it for a long time and its uncertain when it'll be completed.(maybe >2yrs.)
So if he can atleast take out time to supervise someone other creating the dmod acc. to his indications. Then it'll be out within 6months.

Let him finish it in his own time.
Nobody else could possibly finish the trilogy in a satisfactory way - Not even the most experienced of authors. We all have vastly contrasting styles, just check out the top 5 epic d-mods. They all focus on different aspects of the game. Whilst Cloud Castle 2 has a ridiculous amount of characters and dialogue, Pilgrim's Quest has masses of top quality new graphics and Initiation is full of innovation and non-linearity. Whilst I wouldn't say these d-mods were defined by these aspects alone (they all excel in more than one way), they are the most memorable from each. Who can forget the Pilgrim's Quest title screen? Or the voice acting in Initiation? Or the demise of Lord Duckington the III?
I doubt Simon would ever be happy letting someone conclude the SOB trilogy, just as I couldn't be happy letting someone else finish the CC trilogy.
Besides, who would dare take up the Simon's mantle? I hear he's got pretty big shoes... I can't think of anyone would try to fill them.

i would and i would have a dmod 10 times better than anything you, simon, redink, and seth could ever immagine. it would involve the greatest implementations of dinkc ever created with things exploding all over the friggin plate, penguins, dinosaurs from space, elves popping up all over the place its gonna be sweet

What about bats and vampires? There are some graphics recently posted here. Kinda funny that as soon as I saw that the bat and vampire were uploaded I automatically thought of you. Lol.
