The Dink Network

I am stuck in the game. I am unsure what to do after waking up the next day from the mayor.

First, let me refer you to the walkthru.txt file that was installed along with other files in the glitters directory. That should be a good help.

Second, I am not quite certain I understand where you are stuck.

So, I'll assume the following 5 things are true:
#1 Dink has visited *all* the rooms in the gold castle.
#2 Dink "had a splendid meal with the Mayor and his top (human) staff".
#3 After this feast, he then went to his room and had a good night's sleep.
#4 Dink has a disturbing dream.
#5 Dink wakes up.

After the above has taken place, the next step is to talk to the mayor, whom Dink should meet outside his guest-room.

Is that is enough for you to get going again?

If you have already talked to the mayor this morning, then perhaps your question is meant to ask, "What should Dink do after talking to the mayor once he has slept overnight in the castle?". If that is the case, then let me know and I can provide more information, but your best bet would be to take a look at walkthru.txt anyway which explains things quite clearly.

I found the walkthrough. I was unaware it came with the game. My question should have been "What should Dink do after talking to the mayor once he has slept overnight in the castle,?" but I found the answer in the walkthrough

No walk through came with my Dmod. And navigation of Dink Network is crazy hard.
Have loved this Dmod right up to these STUPID STUPID magic circles at the end.

Are you certain that you can find no walkthru.txt file in the same directory as the game? It should have been installed right there along with other files.

This is what that directory should look like right after the installation is complete:

If you still cannot find this file, then I can provide the section of that file ("HOW TO GET PAST THE THREE ISLANDS (FLOATING IN DARKNESS) WITHIN THE TEMPLE:") right here in the forum if necessary.

My directory has aprox. 1/2 that number of files, none of which are .txt files. Anyway, I went back to it and got the game finished. Collected all my gold and that was that. Going back to the Tavern after a successful quest would have been a nice touch, but oh well.
