im attempting to edit the depth dot and hardness of a sprite, but whenevr i save it, it gets saved for like 10 minutes, then it resets to its default, can anybody give an explanation for that? and this isnt the first this has been happening, its been happening ever since ive used dink edit, and ive even reinstalled everything like 5 times. errr do you guys think i should switch over to windinkedit? btw, in the tutorial document in the development thing, it says under features for dink edit, that when you place a sprite on the edge of the screen, it automatically places the same sprite on the next screen to create a seemless switch, was that planned? or is it like that movie2000 thing and i havent heard about it?

WindinkEdit is so much easier once you are used to it, but in either editor, press "m" to turn screenmatch on or off.
I have been told WDE can also edit a sprites depth and hardbox, but I have never found how to use that.

You've been pressing S to save it, right?

I've had troubles with the "doesnt save" too, just open the ini file with the load_sequence command and scroll all the way down.

remove all sprite_info commands that are part of your sequence, then just save the ini file and open dinkedit again, then edit them and they (hopefully) dont reset anymore.

I had similar problems with AKT2. That's why the troll dude doesn't work as well as he should, and jutters about a bit.

I've had a similar problem with depthdots not saving and think I found a solution.
When you press "S" and the info is saved in dink.ini, it sometimes attaches the graphic info to the prior line. You have to seperate them by pressing enter.
