This D-Mod kept crashing on my Win 10 computer using Dink HD right after the intro on an original start. I finally got it to load by choosing the auto-saved game, then continuing and saving at the save bot. I started a new game again at that point and it went through fine. Very odd.

Hmmm. I thought I fixed it too, but I have no way to test it on Windoze 10.

Are you certain that you are using the 1.2 version of [THE LAST QUEST (part 1): The Oraculum]?

Skurn;
a) Did you find that the problem went away when you tried the latest version of the dmod?
b) What version of what operating system did you use when running the dmod?

I installed right from the main D-Mod page and it says version 1.2 on that. I just reinstalled and tried it again in windowed mode (not fullscreen) and it didn't crash. It must be a Windows 10 issue. Oh well.

or it's just Dink HD. It has more problems than Windows 10.

Life? What's that? Can I download it?!
You should see my next DMOD in DinkHD, unplayable from the start. I would use FreeDink or original Dink to play DMODs. FreeDink is nice as you can speed up gameplay significantly at will and use the console to enter commands.

you're right, goku. dinkHD is, indeed, overbloated spyware.

Hmm. So which is better and more stable, Freedink or Dink HD?

Freedink/Dink 1.08 is far more stable without question, I'm sure many here will agree. Personally I would only use DinkHD if I want to play Dink on the go on mobile.

dinkHD crashes about every 2 seconds. and it does it for no reason, too. it's pretty ducked up. like, it doesn't have to fail at executing a script or anything.

it just goes.

I agree that this seems the best approach. Only use Dink HD if you must. 1.08 is (by comparison) rather solid.
