Does anyone else think it time for a new contest - its 7 months (approx) since the last one and the game uploads have dried to a trickle... maybe if we suggested something for them to pick from - a new contest may be forthcoming - hence solving the problem of so few dmods recently... (yay to "Jugs" and "Sparrow" for keeping the flow from drying up all together)!!

I wanna see some murder/death/kill dmods filled with carnage and pillaging and blood letting and ... *shakes self* err well you get my point - I am going through withdrawl here - help!!

...there was a vampire one canceled a while ago due to lack of entries... so think seriously about what you want to see!

Contest ideas are rather complicated. You need to strike a balance between being an interesting and new idea and being generic enough to allow some creative thinking. The vampire one was probably too specific to work as a contest, as was the rise to power one.

Unfortunately some of the best themes, such as alternative hero, evil hero and failure have already been taken, so you might need some creativity...

my suggestion would be a neutral hero contest(not evil but not a goodguy either.) which would lead to mods where you can do both good deeds are evil deeds.
so how does that sound?

Hmmm. Regarding Metatarasal's post:
- A "Foreign" mod; the mod must involve a new race or culture with which Dink (or other main character)must significantly interact.
- An alternative weapons mod, or an archery mod (see "bow" thread)

Honestly, I would LOVE to see a "cast away" themed D-Mod.

Dink has been washed up on a seemingly uninhabited island... But something is looming in the shadows.

Well, that epic DMOD I've been making since I joined is about a guy that goes around slaughtering villages, but I doubt I'll get it finished in time for any contests (and even if I did, it wouldn't count if I'd already started it)...

And also, that idea about a DMOD where you can choose to be good/bad is the sort of thing I was planning to make after my epic

As for contest ideas, how about an apocalypse themed one? Or has something like that already been done? If not, that kinda theme wouldn't limit people too much...

hmm... so its looking like - a carnage dmod contest with puzzles, in a dungeon setting with alternate weapon or weapons system and some foreign 'bad' chicks with a little porn thrown in for hubba LOL?

... sounds like quite a challange? BUT... dropping the porn (sorry hubba) and the foreign chicks (sorry schnapps - significant interaction with these is Simonk's area heh heh), so, whatchas think - this look interesting to anyone?
