Alright, I started working on Space Dink, and I went to do a script, and I forgot how to make a sign talk. SOOoo, I've decided to work on something a bit simpler. No new graphics, no new tiles, just a new Dmod. I call it, The Quest For Not Quite As Lame (TQFNQAL).

One day, Dink recieves a letter regarding the craptacular files
that were released by the creator of his world. Determined
not to let his world fall into the pit of horrible files, he sets out on
yet another adventure to stop the one they call 'Pillbug'.

So yeah. I'm almost done with the intro, and it's coming along nicely . I'm really sure how long it will be, or when it will be released. But until I finish it, all other projects of mine will be put on hold.

Cool to hear of this. This sounds a lot more realistic than space dink, so it's a lot more likely to be finished. Finished DMODs are good DMODs...

Does this mean that Space Dink is canceled? Just to get things straight for the upcoming DMODs list.

Town 1 is now complete, and I have already started working on Area 2. I've got some really good ideas in mind, but they don't come into play until later. I wouldn't tell you what they were anyway.

I was thinking about creating a new spell, but I wasn't really sure if it was necessary. So, I decided to turn Scripts into spells. I know that spells are scripts, but in order to beat a DMOD author, Dink is going to need to know something about scripting. I've currently got some spells (scripts) in the making, some optional, some needed to progress in the story. I'm only going to mention two, one optional, one story related.

Alright, I've finished with Town 1, I'm almost done with area 1, and I've got enough ideas swirling around in my already crowded mind to (hopefully) finish Town 2 fairly fast. I've decided to only keep one script, and it's going to be passive. However, I do have a pretty healing spell. Oh, and Erwin did NOT make it, he just informed me of how badly I screwed up my brackets. So he did bug fix it. Kind of. Thanks Erwin

Anyway, I've got a couple of new items, most not really needed, just there to add to the atmosphere. It's coming along very good, and I'm still sticking with my current release date, which is sometime in August. I'm looking forward to having it done, so I can see what you all think.

I'm nearly done with the first secret area, but that's secret, so you don't know about that. I've finished with one area that I was dreading finishing, but it's finally done, and I can get all of my shiny ideas to work. I'd say the D-Mod is about half way done now, maybe a little more. I play through it frequently, to make sure there are no holes in the plot. Not like that matters anyway, I spent half an hour trying to find out what was wrong with a script, when I had made a typo in the variable. I got my first mini-mini-boss done, because I don't know if you would even call it a boss.
While you wait for this to be released, enjoy this exclamation mark.

Ha! Just saw your screenshots. Not even I could do this. I'm a poor scripter anyways. Keep up the good work. Can;t wait to play the DMOD.

I made the cave look more...cavey. I don't really want to make a whole new screenshot for vines and blood though, but it looks a lot better

Fixed now though, and the cave looks better than it did before.

Also...it might not be done by Saturday, like I meant it.

There have been some ODST setbacks...so, it should be done by next Saturday at the latest. I don't like setting all these deadlines, so if it's not here by then, check back to the Bunny of Patience.

Seriously, when you say "It's Release Time!" and then follow it up with something that indicates it's >> its, it kind of disappoints. At least release times are soon!

I've fixed all the bugs my testers have sent me so far...if all goes well, I'll upload it here tonight.
