Is voice acting a good idea for a D-MOD? I know it was done in Initiation, and I liked it. The reason I like it, is because sometimes people sometimes don't read the sentence with enough emotion. Or they read it with too much emotion. So I was wondering whether or not you guys think it's a good idea? And if it's a good idea, then maybe I could get some people to voice act for me?

i think that would be a brilliant idea, if you could find people willing to do so

I like the concept, I just don't like the fact that sound takes quite a lot of space, especially if you gotta store in in PCM WAV format...

Isn't 1.08 able to play MP3s instead of WAVs?

Only 1.08 Aural, which is kind of unstable.

For certain scenes it would be a good idea, but for every little say command, no. I once thought about having a boss saying different things that would indicate he was about to use a certain spell or skill against Dink. Stuff like that could work well, but I personally wouldn't use my voice for it

The other part is my part, and I'm not telling you what he is, because that would spoil the whole D-MOD!

Bad guy! You got my attention! But maybe you shouldn't make Dink a voice. It would hurt RTSoft, y'know.

No, I'm not the bad guy. I'm someone else. I didn't put him up there. But sure, you can be the bad guy! It might be a week or two before I email you the parts though.

EDIT: I've discovered a new feature in GoldWave: 'mechanize'. It makes the sound all mechanical. I'll use it for the evil robots. Of course, I'll still require an actor, but they won't have to do anything special to make their voice sound like a robot's. I can handle that.

Come on, people! You want a part, tell me which one!

New part(s). I need some people to play normal humans. I would like a slight British accent for these guys, but it's not really needed. I would like a male voice or two, and a female voice would be nice, also.

Hey, Skull. I got your email, about the voice acting, but I can't seem to be able to reply to it. It tells me no such address exists. So, here is what I said in the email:

"Excellent! First of all, I'll test you to see how good you are. The lines are below.

Line 1.) It's that human! Get him!

Line 2.) Your head will be served on a plate!

Try and say them with as little emotion as possible, in a sort of
robotic voice. If you can't, I will modify your voice to make it roboty.

After you record these lines, email them to me as two different attachments in .wav format. I will decide whether you will do a good job or not."

So... got that?

Ok, DinkDude, I'm making those lines now, but I've got a couple of things first to tell. My voice sounds kind of childish, so don't be disapointed. That's probably why I can make such a different voices.

And second: My e-mail can't send two WAV voices in one message. (Why?) So, I'll be sending two messages for you, ok?

I still need more voice actors. My page is updated, and now for some of the parts it's easier to submit. So, can I get some more actors, please?

*Sigh* No one wants to voice act for me. Well, a few people acted, and they were great. But I can't get anyone else. I've got lots of people who say they will act, but they don't email me the lines.

dang idiots...

But, yeah, turns out my D-Mod won't have voice acting in it anymore. Sorry, Pillbug, your acting was great, but it's just not going to work. I'm very sorry.
