Just read this tutorial on what happened on Paltalk. I weren't there, but alot of people O know was chatting where this guy did what he shouldn't have done.

I know those sorts of people, and, well, I honestly doubt that they didn't stop cheering *after* he got a real estate deal. They are... well, I'll not get into it.
Most of the article looks like it was written by a thirdhand account with no actual information sides whatever the police talked about. Not something that I'd consider all too factual.

I agree with you Chrispy but it is a horrific story! I mean, why would someone hang themselves!? And on national TV! I mean national internet!?
Simple. The people asked him to, and he was a coward. That's all there really is to it.
I understand *why* he did it, that makes me despise *who* he was. There was a reason that suicide was a capital offense back way back in the day, and it wasn't just for religious reasons either.

I agree with you (again) but I'm just trying to make a point that...
THE GUY IS CRAZY!!
Or should I say he 'was' crazy!
hehehe

I feel sorry for him. It's pretty stupid of those who egged him on to do it when he was suicidal.
He wasn't crazy, but rather overly depressed. Which made him hang himself. That "insult chatroom" didn't help him either, I guess he needed extra motivation to keep him going on with it.

Because nothing makes sense like killing someone who's already dead or who wanted to die anyway.

I don't think here was anything *funny*
DinkDude95! I think it's horrific story, not funny!! And he wasn't CRAZY!! !! I think you are a little!

Its sad that some people in here act like this was just a big joke.
But why would you go to a chat room to get motivated?? The only people there are "8 year olds and 30 year old guys that can't even gat laided" :Jay and Silent Bob
Just another sad case of what depression can do to someone...

It actually does if you think about it. Nowadays, we have ways to treat those kinds of people. Back then, they didn't have anti-depressants, or counseling, or anything like that.
Well then, how would they handle someone who wants to kill themselves (back in that day)?
You can't know they won't start attacking other people, letting them get killed for killing other people. And if they wanted to kill themselves, there is obviously something wrong with them. What do you with things that are wrong? You get rid of them. (or did they really have a great track-record with dealing with the disabled and mentally handicapped?)
The person who attempts/commits suicide automatically brings question upon the rest of family, which could lead to other members of the family being scapegoated then worse. It's easier to vilify this person and save whatever honor/standing/respect that family still has and get rid of the black sheep.

While I understand that harsh reasoning, I did not think of it based the fact that it seemed to have little to do with rest of your post.
It's a topic that's a little to close to me, so I tend to get a bit irrational and angry when talking about it.
My own view is such depressing news should not be spread and discussed.
This I am saying to our 52 year old pal.(Glenn)

And about the anti-depressints, they do not help, they can make it a lot worse.
I'v seen what they can do to too many people. I realy think we should just stop talking about this subject now.

Anti-depressants do not help? Hmmm... funny how they still give them to people, given that they make it worse for everyone. Certainly medication is not a good answer if there's a serious fear that the patient would overdose asap, and of course there are side effects, but you really would think that on the whole, the depressed have found anti-depressants a decent way to cope with everyday routines.
People suggest we should stop talking about this subject... Is it a dangerous one? I just don't see what makes the DN so incapable of discussing suicide or depression.

This is also Off-topic. You don't have to participate in the thread if you don't want.
From my experience, anti-depressants don't really do much for me. And personally, I've been there a few times, so I can at least empathize with the guy. If you really do want to kill yourself, and you need that extra boost to see you there, an insult chatroom is definitely the place to go.
For myself, when you look at the fact that there's still plenty of chances to do and experience a lot of awesome things... it would be just too much of a shame to go before doing them.
