I'm watching all these ratings posts and wondering... do the points get you anything other than esteem from fellow dinkers (ie gifties from the store? Also, how do you enter a review (I can see modify on my account list, but not create - maybe my account hasn't been validated yet?) and is there a special formula that is preferred? I've been doing lots of d-mods (gosh i'm having fun) and am even trying to get up the nerve to learn how to create my own!

The people below complaining about the points and rankings and aushc are known as 'Point Whores'. There is no reward for having points, only (esteem/hatred) from your fellow Dinkers.
It got really bad a few months ago, with people releasing files they hadn't put much work into just so they got more points. So I tweaked it a bit, and eventually removed them altogether.
And so I created a new formula. It essentially takes everyone who has written a validated review, and gives them a random value. Its a tad more complex than that (the more reviews you write, the greater the possibility you'll be on top, but it isn't in any way guaranteed), but its essentially random. I did it to get a laugh at those people who always complain about points.
As for how to review files, on the bottom of every file page there is a place to write a review. You need to enter your username and password, write the review, hit submit, and then the staff gets to in/validate it.

Well! Since you can't win a dink wall map or a free trip to Disneyland, who cares about points!
I like the reviews because they give some clues as to what to expect in each individual dmod, and whether or not it is "your style"... I tend to prefer the d-mods with lots of secrets and lots of conversational options as opposed to others who may prefer lots of action. I think I could write a valuable review , so thanks for giving my head a whack so I could see WHERE to submit a review! E-gads sometimes I think I've lost some marbles! Let me know if you find any!

Though it has only 1 real secret as such, and it is a d-mod of my own, I would recommened "Cloud Castle" if you like d-mods with conversation options, as everybody has many. And if you do play it...please give a review!

If you want to submit the term, submit as much as you like. There is supposed to have a third meaning for the Dinktionary but I forgot to add it in, but then it would hurt that person's feelings so I took it out. You dinkers probably know who it is and it's not me.
Since we don't get free prize from Dink Store who cares about points. I wonder how difficult the formula really is. I hope it's not as difficult as figuring out the QB Rating for the NFL.
redink1, as for reviews you should disable the weighted part and put in total (full + mini). It's just better that way when you first started for that category.

What I mean is the term called Flaming should have a third meaning for Dinktionary, but I didn't add it b/c it might hurt a person's feelings.
