Also, how do you enter a review (I can see modify on my account list, but not create - maybe my account hasn't been validated yet?) and is there a special formula that is preferred? The people below complaining about the points and rankings and aushc are known as 'Point Whores'. There is no reward for having points, only (esteem/hatred) from your fellow Dinkers.
It got really bad a few months ago, with people releasing files they hadn't put much work into just so they got more points. So I tweaked it a bit, and eventually removed them altogether.
And so I created a new formula. It essentially takes everyone who has written a validated review, and gives them a random value. Its a tad more complex than that (the more reviews you write, the greater the possibility you'll be on top, but it isn't in any way guaranteed), but its essentially random. I did it to get a laugh at those people who always complain about points.
As for how to review files, on the bottom of every file page there is a place to write a review. You need to enter your username and password, write the review, hit submit, and then the staff gets to in/validate it.
