Google Pages is a bit different from Myspace.

Myspace is, as I said, a social network. You create a profile, fill it with information about yourself, decorate it a bit, litter it with annoying things such as music and videos if you so choose (please don't ), and so on. You can then connect to old friends, find new friends who have similar interests, or even befriend bands that you enjoy. Your friends can then keep up with you by reading your blogs, looking at bulletins you post, or messaging you.

Google Pages is, from what I can tell, a simplified website creator. Sure, you could post your e-mail address for people to contact you with, or use something like a message board or guestbook (if Google Pages allows that), but Myspace is designed specifically for social networking.

Sounds about right. I'd even prefer to use the crappy MSN Groups over Myspace. That can easily be used for the same sort of thing. Especially when used in conjunction with MSN Profiles.

I didn't mean it in an egocentric way. I meant it in a simple "think what you will doesn't bother me" way.

I used to have a myspace account before I abandoned it without adding any content. That was round about when became public.
