Runescape is a very nice game but I don't have time to play it because I'm buzy all the time with my new D-Mod (or Oblivion ) But my older brother plays it although I don't think this is what you were asking for.

The current status is F2P or P2P. F2P is your not a member, you play for free. P2P is that your a member and you pay $5 a month to get 300% more stuff.

Oh. In that case, my membership expired today. I'm gonna revive it next week.

Been playing since November 2005, and I'm now at combat level 34. Yeah, I don't play it much nowadays...

P2P is awesome...better weapons, armor, quests, skills, etc. Everything is better, even a bigger area, like 10x bigger.

I tried Runescape once, couldn't get into it. It was quite dull.

Yeah, I agree it's a bit boring...good waste of time though.

Not just as boring as Adventure Quest though...

Adventure quest is pure, 100% boring. Not the same type of gameplay as other RPG's like Runescape. Not as much to do in AQ.

Suppose I'd better admit to my little RS fetish...I've been playing for a few weeks now, but usually only Friday evenings - meaning nothing to anyone of course since they're all in different time zones.

I play under the imaginative name "Valoveer".

I played it last year a few times, was hyper about it for a while, then suddenly I just couldn't keep my attention at it, so I quit.

Ya know, you have enough characters for an account name for 'Ladyvaloveer' since it has 12 characters, and that's the max. I guess I should add you too first chance I get

I don't play runescape via Internet Explorer by clicking the internet icon and then typing in www.runescape.com. Instead, by a program downloaded from another one of MikroBitti's bonus disks, I can launch RuneScape just by double-clicking a sword icon on my desktop. The bad thing in this is, this mode includes no "previous" and "next" buttons, so I have to re-access the homepage everytime I want to "previous"...

@Vudkolak: I have that too. It saves a bit of memory IE would otherwise take up.
It's just available for download on the Runescape website anyway.

I've got a little problem with loading RuneScape, when I type my username and password the game just says "RuneScape has been updated, please reload this page". No matter what I do, I've tried restarting the page and everything, and I am currently up to submit a techical query to get an answer. Could anyone tell me where can I see the...

You do know your own operating system right?

Java version: in a command prompt, do: java -version

Amount of RAM: Suppose you have Windows. It can then be found by right clicking on My Computer on your desktop, then Properties. You can also find your operating system here

Internet browser version: Go to Help, then Info or About or your browser's equivalent. Basically every browser mentions the version number there.

Internet connection: Suppose your have Windows; then you can find it in the Control Panel, then Networkconnections (or something equivalent). It displays your computer's connections there. You can also check Java here if you can't figure out the java -version way to get the version number.

Empty your internet cache, THEN try refreshing the page.

Operating system? Microsoft Windows XP, done.

Amount of RAM: Is "3000+" a normal amount?

Now it says "Error_loader_download" and below it is some white text too long to be typed here. I can't allow a firewall, as there is no program called RuneScape in my computer. Or at least the system thinks so.

- That 3000+ is probably your processor speed.
- I didn't say disconnect, I said empty your cache. Go to internet settings, there's a button for it somewhere.
- Reinstall/install the latest version of Java from Sun's Java website.

Yeeah it works again! I discovered I have to delete every temporary internet files, and now it works!

@Vukodlak: Thanks, looks interesting. I shall give it a try, whern I'm not too busy and when I don't feel like Dinking. Maybe I'll see you there, then?

Well, Vudkolak, that's what I meant with emptying the cache. Deleting the temp downloaded internet files. That will force the game to download everything again and maybe correctly this time.

Not. "Still" doesn't work... again... It's really boring just to wait 3 minutes until the game loads only to find that "RuneScape has been updated! Please reload this page".

I have the latest version of Java. Which of these is a reasonable RAM speed:

Vudkolak, these are processor type and processor speed. It has nothing to do with your RAM. RAM is your computer's memory (but not harddisk space, mind you).

The only possible way to steal an account is to be a master hacker and submit a password request for the account you want and if you do it correctly, you can get the account.

I consider noobs on F2P lvl 50 and lower. For P2P, I consider 70 and lower noobs. And since I'm lvl 71, I'm no longer a noob, or a "RuneNewb."

You do understand that the game is a zero-sum game, with people around who you will never come close to beating, right? Plus, the economy has no money sink, so that's not good either.

Well, I got an A in getting Beta readers and extensions.

I usually get nines for my grammar. Yay, stupid country differences!

After a lot of Dink Goes Hunting theraphy (how do you spell this thing?!) I stopped playing Runescape (for the moment) and continued with my D-Mod. If all goes well the demo will be finished in a week or two. (I know I'm slow.) But after that be prepared for lots of ME in Runescape (and ofcourse I'll finish the whole game... later)
