The herb boots have gotten quite popular. Dang the Made For Adsense (google ads) sites though!

Chop your own wood, and it will warm you twice.
What's the connection between dink smallwood herbal boots and medicine?

Pfft! Growth hormones my rear end!I was abnormally short as a child and my parents never gave me any growth hormones! I grew to a healthy four foot nine!

Only four foot inches short of my extremely impressive 5ft3

That'd be 6 inches short, as one foot has 12 inches. Silly non-metric-non-SI system.

I'm 1.92 m, which is about 6ft3

Oh... I need to go to bed. Clearly.
It's a bad sign when even basic maths skills go out the window... I might forget how to spell next! Aargh!
You're bloody tall magicman. (Another bad sign... stating the obvious. Again. Sh*t)

Argh! danged imperial system. What is it with the US/UK and their oh-so-outdated measuring systems?

Well I'm a follower of the metric system and SI units... thanks to Australian schooling...
I just can't add without sufficient sleep.

The solution to your problem:
- Get some sleep.
- Do not perform basic mathematical tasks.

Thanks Doc! Little problem... I-N-S-O-M-N-I-A spells... can't remember how to perform basic functions. Never mind more complicated ones.
Shall steer away from sums from now on though

You're like the fifth (or so) person I've met online that suffers from insomnia. It must be a common disease for onliners.

Maybe that's why we become 'onliners'...

Maybe... but I'm one too, but I don't have insomnia. And just for the record, two or three of these people (excluding you) is or were here at the DN.

I don't have insomnia. But then I am a person who needs little sleep in the first place. I can happily make by on 7 hours sleep on a regular basis and as long as I don't do it more once in a row I can make do on 6 hours sleep without negative effects.

I think you and I have different views on what 'little' sleep is... 4 hours a night and I can survive. For a week or so at least. Ideally I'd have 12 hours a night... but alas, too busy... and then there's the scary 'I' word.

Most people need 8 hours (on a biological level), so I consider anything significantly less (about an hour) little.

I don't suffer from insomnia. I enjoy it.

I suppose I should've been patriotic and used metres, but for some reason I've always found it easier to visualise height in feet

Same for some reason. Propably because height was traditionally done in feet until recently.

Steve Pavlina, a new personal hero of mine, gets by on 2 to 3 hours of sleep per day, by sleeping only 20 minutes every four hours. It's called polyphasic sleep and he seems to handle it pretty well. He's only been doing it for four months though.

Talk about little sleep.

I'm not saying I don't need more than 8 hours a night to behave like a human being... (double negative, sorry!) I just can survive... and have to, on less. Biologically yes, men need 8 hours sleep... but women should have 9 1/2 according to an Australian study...
I think of height in feet too... I just can't count, lol.

There are too many variables in peoples lives to know the optimum hours of sleep. It's like saying men must eat 1kg and women must eat .8kg of food every day. It makes no sence.

Actually a recent study showed that both sexes get tired from too much sleep if they get more than 9 gours sleep.

So that means that women are always tired....

Well obviously study results are going to be generalisations... but they make those about food too (calorie guidelines)... I'm certainly not tired when I manage to get 9 hours sleep or more!
