Hey neat, a DMOD. That's six this year, counting that one odd thing I made.

Maybe I'll get around to playing this sooner than over 140 DMODs from now, since it's short...

Skorn says there's an issue where you can't open the chest. But I guess you can still proceed because there's a bug that allows you to skip the whole fetching things part by pushing shiva. If you decide to skip, don't open the chest. It's not supposed to be opened then and it'll make things super weird and not in a good way.

Initial testing on DinkHD isn't looking good either. It's possible to complete on HD however the game will probably unexpectedly quit more than one would like.

Solution there - don't use HD.

Okay. Why didn't you enjoy it pred? Was it the lack of combat? Or the fact that it was almost entirely made up of cutscenes? Maybe you didn't find it funny. Either way it doesn't really matter.

-The game crashes
-No title screen (Thats just lazy)
-Dink keeps walking slowy while in the forest (Should just had walking the normal speed)
-Soundtrack sounds someone is farting
-First part of the game is just copy and paste from the original game (Again thats lazy)
-The whole lantern thing
-Cant find the last thing for the woman.

It only crashes for me on DinkHD.
It has a title screen.
That's intentional.
Matter of opinion.
All the scripts are edited. It's not copy pasted. Similar but different.
it's supposed to be at night.
That's because you need an item in the chest but there's an issue opening it. I'll fix that.

Sorry, I'm not totally clear. Is this working correctly on the standard dink engine, or should I wait for a patch?

Uh, either. The fetch quest requires you to use a sword. But to get the sword you need to open a chest which you can't. However once you complete the fetch quest you're supposed to push someone but if you push her and you haven't collected all the stuff required it still works. So, you could play it and just avoid the fetch quest entirely. Which essential makes it a string of cutscenes. It's up to you really.

Nice work Leprochaun, this DMOD has a really nice atmosphere. I was wondering though, is this a demo or a romp? It is classified as a romp but it feels quite a bit more as a demo to be honest.

Also one potential bug you should probably fix for a patched version: The cutscene where Shiva goes to the pond plays again when you re-enter the screen. EDIT: Should the outline and skeleton.txt still be in there?

Egh, really? I already submitted the patched version. At least there's the option to skip through it.

And the outline and skeleton should not be there. I swear I deleted those. Oh well. Anyways, it's definitely a romp because this whole part is done. The next part is in a different place. Rather than work on something huge for a long time I'm releasing it in a series of romps. Then when/if I have enough I'll compile them together.

Really enjoyed playing. Forest definitely rocked. I thought the random slowdown script was a nice touch.
