This is the problem I have been having with Scripts so far, if someone can help I thank you.

Is your file "Dack1.c" in the story folder of the DMOD you've got open in WDE there?
Where would the story folder be, so I can find it.
In your Dink Smallwood directory, you've got directories that each represent a DMOD.
Each of THOSE directories contains a directory called "Story."
Unless the script you're trying to attach is either in the original game or the story folder of the DMOD you're currently editing (or both, in which case yours takes priority), WDE won't be able to find it.

So I should use what then If WDE can't find it?
No, what I mean is that you have to put your scripts into that story folder. Otherwise the game won't be able to find them either.
Edit: I'm sorry, is your problem that you've been trying to set a sprite's script as "Dack1" but you've been getting that error? I just assumed it was.

Actually, for you I recommend watching Robj's tutorials. They'll explain everything for you very plainly. I'm just learning myself, so I'm not really the guy to be giving you advice.
Edit: Wait, I just looked at your picture again and realized that NOTEPAD was giving you that error. Again, I say just watch the tutorials.

I've been watching his videos and most of them stuck, but the scripting part is where my problem is.
It's probably because the dink folder is hidden somewhere in windows...
Search for the dink folder in Program Files, caan you find you dmod there? If not look in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\
Then you can just save your .c-files in the story folder and only use WDE for telling dink which scripts to attach to which sprites

May I ask you to simplify it, maybe into areas to go from a start point, might help? Been looking at it like it was some foreign language for like a few minutes, and I only know some Spanish.
If you just hit the "edit" button it should say something like, "file not found, would you like to create a new one?" in which case you hit yes and notepad will open up a file with the title you gave it. Then you can write up your script, and when you save it should automatically save to your story folder.
Psh, who needs to go to through all those silly directories anyways?

It doesn't say that, like in the picture.
It does for me.
Well you aren't having said problem.
Do you know what the "File Explorer" in windows is?
I have heard of the infamous Internet Explorer, but nothing else that may relate to File Explorer.
It's actually called Windows Explorer and you've got it open in that screenshot you posted. It's the window that says Libraries > Sword > Dink Stuff at the top.
Windows Explorer is the graphical way to move around the directories (or "folders") on your drives in Windows. Double-click "Computer" on the left pane to get a list of your drives and some other things we won't worry about right now.
Your main hard disk drive should be drive C:, so double-click that. You'll then see all the directories on the "root" of your drive. I see that you're using Windows 7 or Vista. In Windows 7, there's a folder directly on the root called "Program Files," which is where Dink installs by default.
I don't mean to insult you, but I don't know how you've gotten as far as you have if you don't know this stuff.
Edit: actually, there is a "File Explorer" as well, but Windows Explorer is what we're concerned with here, I think.

I went to the Program files and found a folder called Dink Smallwood, now what next, also don't worry I've been called worse on the ..... This place.
Try reinstalling Dink in some other place than Program Files. Windows is pretty strict on security for files in Program Files, so if you want to edit stuff you're better off not putting it in Program Files, at least that's my experience.
Personally I've installed Dink in C:\Games\Dink Smallwood
If you've done so as well you copy the skeleton you're using into this directory so your DMODs directory becomes something like C:\Games\Dink Smallwood\MYDMOD In this folder you find the folder Story, which contains all of your scripts.

I've just given myself Full Control permission over the Dink folder, which makes Windows stop bothering me about all of that stuff.
What about if I move the Dink Folder somewhere else, I got a lot of mapping done and I don't want to risk losing it.
Fine I'll try it when I get home.
Should be fine. Back up first anyway!
Start up the main game after moving to get the new directory set. (There is a file somewhere that sets the directory DFArc will look for.)

By start the main game , you mean click on the icon with the Dink symbol and play Dink Smallwood v1.08, also I may of not backed up, didn't know how to though I can remember what I mapped, to an extent.
Edit: Not sure if it's my fault, but now that D-mod name problem pops up when I try to create a new D-mod, though It could be I need to start up the main game.
