Video game world 100X better then Real Life
Its true although i shouldnt compare the two becasue becasue real life woulds get its a## kicked in a proper conparament.

Hmm not me - i wanna experience what real life has to offer - not sitting there scared of the first power cut to finish me off I wanna feel and smell and taste and see - cant do that in a game - I like that I can be what i wanna be without paying for a cosmetic upgrade - oh.... wait...
yes real life is horrible compared to video games since you can do many things like in gta you can frive on the sidewalk and no one cares also if you get the cops on you just lose then and your safe. Also In Fire Emblem you get to level up and get stronger by killing people.etc
This is the kind of stuff depressed, lonely people would say, Pred. Have you tried seeing a Psychiatrist? I mean absolutely no offense by that BTW.
In video games, there's the fridge horror that often accompanies it, plus the fact that every few seconds there's some sort of eldritch abomination attacking the world, plus the fact that once you beat said abomination that there will be nothing better. Victory is Boring.
Victory is Boring
True. Once you win, the game is over and the world disappears.

Their are evil abobinations in happiniess fabulous peacful land well I better not play that made up game.
In some ways I agree. In video games you can be all action-y and good-looking and come up from an explosion smelling like roses.
But I love the real world because you can play video games and experience the best of both worlds in it, geddit?

Pfft, I've watched The Matrix. I don't want my life to be any more driven by mathematics then it already is - let maths be my explanation, not my motivation.
The only bad part I find in gaming is the pain you can feel like explosins that arn't in a cutscene that allow you to live or things like being clawwed many times by a hunter and a withc on Left For Dead 2 then using a health Pack and making it all better.
(SIGH) i miss going school;(
Is that like going Super Saiyan?
I miss school as well
Along with the mushrooms, more has been explained from that comment.

This explains so much. Not about myself, but about a few people I know.
Interesting. I wonder what explanation they give to having an obsession in creating games, though.
@MsDink
I do feel and see video games smell no but you can feel and see in video game world.
Real life has NOTHING to offer
Video game world is SUPERIOR to real life in every single way
If real life was so interesting why do we have video games why is there such are large market for it.
Ive proven my point

@Quiztis Well why the hell do we have video games BECASUE REAL LIFE IS A PIECE OF TRASH USE YOUR COMMON SENSE YOU IDIOT (IF YOU HAVE ONE WHICH DOSENT SEEM TO BE THE CASE)
hmm then I am sorry your life has not much joy in it pred Dont get me wrong I play hours and hours of games lately and really enjoy it - just at some point you have to realise real life isnt a game and you have responsibilities and things to do - sitting in front of a computer all day doesnt get you involved in life and at some stage if you want things to change then yo have to do something different
Theres heaps of video games and a huge market because so many people want to experience escapism, reading a book isnt as good as seeing it or being immersed in it/another world where you control everything that happens. Thats also not living if you do it 24 hours a day. I love mah computer but I also love that =I can get up and walk away from it as well.

Humans have little to offer, (myself included,) but the world itself, the natural world around us, has a lot to offer. Take some time to sit in a place far from people, and just listen to the silence around you. Perhaps you will hear a bird's song, or maybe you'll see something that you would normally not see in civilization.
Ive already done that i live on a farm FAR from any town or citie.
I live nearly 30km from the nearest town

I think humans have a lot to offer. People want things that only other people can provide. A tree can't be your friend, for example. An animal sort of can be, but their communication is limited. They certainly can't have conversations about philosophy or make things like video games.

Indeed. People wouldn't even participate on internet forums if they really valued human interaction so low.
Making friends is another matter. Random strangers you pass by on the street really don't have all that much to offer.

I'm sure a lot of people have a lot to offer, it's just that my perception of people in general has been shot to shoot many times.
Well, there will always be negative aspects of the world, from both an environmental standpoint and a humanity standpoint. I mean, look at hurricanes and space collisions. Both are natural, but to an individual it could mean the end of your life. So it's not only people.
Sometimes it is not easy to find, but there is good in both people and the environment. It is just easier to focus on the negative things because they are all around us, trying hard to make themselves noticed and to steal all attention. The good things are often more subtle, easier to miss, and even overlooked. Like a good friend, a beautiful sunset, a wonderful piece of music, a new DMOD. A person who believes that there is nothing to be happy about, is probably not looking hard enough. Or maybe they just won't let themselves enjoy anything.
I will admit though, it's easy to lose faith in people when those who surround you let you down time after time. Just don't forget amongst the chaos that there are still those who care, and it's a lot easier to keep hope. I've certainly found myself let down by people...but I'm still convinced that the good in people is stronger than the bad in people; the bad only has a louder voice.
At any rate, I hope the best for all your "real lives."

The people I meet I distrust. It takes a long time for me to give them trust, and when I do, I remain loyal until that trust is broken. When that trust is broken, it is even more difficult for me to trust them again.
I have been betrayed many times by people I thought I trusted, and thus very few people have my trust today.

Wouldn't it be great if you could value and get joy out of seeing another human being walk past you on the street. I believe that is how it used to be, in the past when people still travelled long distances by foot or horse. Sadly, thanks to the big cities and people constantly surrounding us, very rare respect other people anymore, and take them for granted, making valuing them impossible. But I disagree, a complete stranger who walks by has something to offer too: a greet. Some people do greet you, but even in such a small town as mine, where very few people pass by, mostly none of them greet you. It makes me lose faith in humanity, knowing that even a simple "hello" is too much asked from today's people.

That's a cool point. Why lose faith over something like that though, isn't it just a convenience thing? It would be annoying if you had to interact with everyone you pass by in a city, when you could be meeting hundreds of people. Most people do at least return a greeting, although there are some who just stare back with a blank expression. (But I think that's just because they're so unaccustomed to being greeted, not because they want to be rude.)
Well, I do realize that in a city, for example, like New York, it would be rather impossible to greet everyone who passes by. And I'm not saying that's what people should do. Just pointing out that when in a situation where you can say "hello" or "good day" as a compliment, you should.
Hmm. How would you be able to tell the difference?
I think we're all ignoring how awful it would actually be to get shot at by terrorist on a battlefield or fight monsters from hell. Since most of the people here don't even lift, their asses would just get kicked over and over again as they kept respawning into the hellhole that is war. No curls=no savior of humanity.
A tree can't be your friend
I would like to resent that saying Dinkulum, And If we could do what we could in videogames, but in reality, many people would be dead.

Imagine finishing a "game" as a real life hero, and then all that's left to do is stare at "The End" screen for all of eternity. Even with good music, that would suck.
Then again, who knows; maybe that really is what happens when one dies!

Restart for more Victory, and it might be awesome to stare at a end screen and relax for a while then restart the adventure even though you know what would happen it's still fun.
"Gee, it sure is boring around here!"
"Mah boi, this peace it what all true warriors strive for!"
Yeah, TVTropes is a pretty cool site! Every time I end up there I find myself surfing for a lot more time than I intend. Also, love the Zelda CD-i reference on the page. The gameplay may just suck, but the crazy CD-i cutscenes in the games are hilarious in a very messed up way. In fact this gives me an idea...
