Why did you pick the avatar you did?
We all have certain ideas about how we are viewed by others. We have each chosen a picture/background that may (or may not) be representative of who and or what we are or want to portray. That pic may be something to hide behind or it may be a hey look at me!
Why did you chose what you did??
Why did you chose what you did??
I chose my picture/background in a way that people can recoqnize me quickly at the 'Lurkers' screen. I mean, when someone has a picture of a knight with some grass around it, it's harder to guess who that guy is.
Maybe that sounds stupid, but that was how I looked at it when I created my avatar.

I always thought dwarves were the pinnical of cool. And kinked, pointy hats. and vest-encased beer-guts. And grey stick-on beards. and the fact that the dwarf was standing in a field of blood, to symbolise his toughness.

Because I've used it since day one.
And didn't see anyone else using it when I joined
Now unfortunately, I've seen it used several times

I have always liked what I chose etc.
Picked a rather unique one (still) so I can be recognised on the Lurker list. Besides, dragons are cool.
dangit, Toast -.-"

Because I'm in love with Stefanie.
I realise that I like fire as well.
the background expresses my shining inspiration, whilst the knight shows my tough and misleading posture. Oh, and I like red.
Originally, I had a dragon on a fire background, which I kept for most of the years I've been here. I chose the firey background because, "Fireball5" seemed to suit. I chosea dragon because, well, dragons make fire.
I changed the dragon to a burning tree because it was more "firey" and looked more awesome in my opinion.

I praise FB5's creativity. I like the milder character, and i love cold, so my background is ice
I love blue...That's all.
I chose this just because I liked the look of it I suppose... It's a bit different too
The background because I like bright colours and it contrasted nicely with the purple.

Yes contrast, that's the same reason I chose mine.
Also I liked the fact that (as far as I could tell) there where no other green slimers around. And I just matched the background...

Also, no one else ever picks it.

Cuz fire is cool, gold is cool, knights are cool....
So.... Yeah thats why i chose it.... I found out that WC has the same however... in summer that is....

Because I am actually a sneaky naninja.
Because it's the best one...
Just a little too much purple... I'll change it some day... to lazy to do it nowzz :]

Because mine looks like a skull cracking through a blue virtual lightning... I mean, it's just obvious.
the way i see it:
mine is the only one that does not seem to pomus
to fire ball:
how did you get that avatar i like it (no offence)

When it just doesn't stop due to constant idiocy, desperate times call for desperate measures.
Why can't you just go back to what you used to use? Stop being provocative.

Maybe you shouldn't have been such a hypocrite.
"Maybe you shouldn't have been such a hypocrite."
Maybe you should stop being such a jerk, yeoldetoast
But I see you find joy in pissing other people off... so as long as you're having fun - then keep changing your avatar, because you're only making yourself look like a n00b by going out of your way to annoy people.
yay.

I just enjoy my freedom of choice.
Seriously, Toast. Stop turning into Skorn when he was horrible.
Neither was Skorn. Skorn was the noob. Stop inciting flame wars
You are not the hacker?? I seem to remember you hacked your avatar for a while there as well, just like the rest of us... so what is your problem with it?
Toast, I have no problems with you picking other peoples' avatars and if you pick mine, either. I don't really care if you wanna look as 5 year old as you are.
Well exdeath moaned about everyone changing their pics then he goes and does it himself. That's called hypocrisy.
Ahh silly me - I didn't realise you could do it but no-one else could, you should have clarified the rules first.
Edit: anyways - I picked mine because I liked the colours and because it seemed bouncy and cheerful (at the time) *grins* although a vest-encased beer-guts does sound rather enticing

Maybe, but if you know so well how pathetic hypocrisy is, why the hell are you being a hypocrite yourself?

I didn't hack site html to get the avatar I have. How am I a hypocrite?
By doing stuff you do not like people doing yourself. You hacked your profile's text to scroll.
EXDeath, I respectfully request you change your avatar background.
"I picked mine because I liked the colours and because it seemed bouncy and cheerful (at the time)"
Not because it looks like a sheep?
Not because it looks like a sheep?
Sparrow!! I am ever so hurt..... but then again... you could be right - but it looks like someone had it in the shearing shed for a while and missed some ...
i picked because i love knights in rpg's but it is a shame they wield axes(i love swords in any game no matter the genre)
WOAH! Dude, that line totally just gave me the inspiration to play DA: Origins as a knight... Be right back...
@Striker:
Or you love Hanzo from Samurai Shodown/KOF Maximum Impact 2(I like him too)

What does that mean, exactly?

Well, um, it means his avatar is invincible to pomussing...
Or invincible to possums.. so that means he is also in a Drop Bear free zone

Drop bear FREE ZONE?
Nowhere inside Australia is Drop-Bear free

I thought drop-bears were just fairy-tales that were told when we go out camping so that we make sure our tents are set up right? You mean... they are actually real?
Oh yes Fireball5 most definitely they are real - they eat little children when they sleep and gnaw on their shoes - you are right to make sure your tent is up correctly as if it isn't they come through the roof and if it is set up right they bounce off and get flicked onto your mates tent... and the next and so on. If they miss (which is rare) they climb the trees and try again (this of course can go on all night) ...its actually awesome to watch if there is 10 or so tents!! Boing, boing, Boiiiiing
Scary beggars! Info to keep you safe!
Well... I don't know the full story cause we don't have drop bears in NZ we put them in a canoe and sent them "across the ditch" to you.

*Thinking to self:'Hmm, a Cryptid. And one I have not heard of before.' Writes a 'note to self' about a trip to NZ in the possible future.*
Drop bears are real. They are an endangered species, and almost impossible to spot; most people spot them just as they die, so it's hard to track and record Drop-bear activity. The ASIO actually released a report on them on the 23 of May in 2002, but they removed the publication from the website soon after.
You don't have to be worried about them though. Drop bears hate changes, thus they seem to move away from urban areas as more forest is cleared for development. A large number of Drop-bears live in the Murray-Darling basin. As a result of careless tourists, immigrants and other Australians, there have been stories of small and aggressive Drop-bear migrations from the cities to the country.
I have limited experiences with Drop-bears myself. In January 2001, my family and several friends camped near Cobram, in the Barooga forest on the Murray there. All night the koalas sang, but there were a couple of times when they went dead-quiet and a chorus of retching grunts sounded out. It sounded like wild hog crossed with a freight-train horn. well, we were ok - of course we dapped a little tooth-paste behind the ears and spread some Vegemite around the camp before we hit the sack.
But KrisKnox, you should come to Australia - NZ is more dangerous anyway.

My sister has been to NZ as a GP... Both my sisters have been to Australia, too.
Apparently I should go there sometime as well but back than (nearly 5 years ago) I chose to go to the States for a month because a mate of mine wanted to go there.
Anyway, on topic.
I like fire. And death and destruction.
It is a hazard to leave anything capable of creating fire in my direct sight or reach. It is a miracle I never actually caused a fire
Well ofcourse I know better than to randomly set fire to stuff, but I do like to play with lighters and matches and people are generally not very comfortable with that

I wanted a burning tree cause it looked cool. The thorns in the background are fancy and white and make the tree more prominent. The green border symbolises the tree BEFORE it got damaged. (And also, green is my favourite color. Before this I had a slayer with a forest background and green border)
Vegemite cures all ills... Fantastic stuff!
Chose a wizard because I'm a fan of magic in games, simple as that Gold background cause it was newly implemented at the time and it looked cool
I used to play with garden faries as a kid.
I always wanted fairies to play with We don't have either those OR drop bears *sighs*
After reading that article I think I'd rather have fairies than drop bears...
"Vegemite (a black foodstuff, high in vitamin B, manufactured as a joke to play on tourists)"
That made me laugh Reminds me of a bunch of Australians I used to know who got the greatest pleasure from tormenting some Americans with the stuff (one of them used to leave the room whenever a jar was opened).

Aww now u fade into a pink sludge - forest was way nicer
Well, mines a duck with no head. Don't know why i picked it.
Probably because it is the default avatar
