If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
DinkEdit is included in the main game, furthermore you need a program to edit scripts (notepad should work fine).
Personally though, I prefer to use WinDinkEdit and CEdit for this. Though some people really like Easy DinkC which should be newbie friendly (Haven't used it myself though).
