I have been using it for over 8 years now, and i would never switch back, but untill people DO use it for that amount of time, they can't see the point, which puts people like Chrispy and I at a disadvantage...
: I won't go through a list of WHY linux is better, because i don't think it would achieve anything, and because it would take to long. BUT, i will point out, that my sertver has been going, without a reboot or serious system maintenence for 12471.648 hours!! that 74.236 weeks!! I also have a windows server, for testing purposes (to compare webserver speeds, and test programs), and I have not been able to keep it alive for more than 1 month, even when I'm not using it!!
