I am a great lover of backgammon. I was fixing to d/l a "free" backgammon off the net when a box popped up and offered a free download manager. I answered no. The box disappeared and I was back at the original site. However, I soon realized that nothing could be downloaded from this site UNLESS you d/led their D/L Mngr first. What is the deal with this? Has anyone run across this before and, if so, why does a site demand it? As I read further, I noticed that tho the d/l mngr was free, you had to pay to get further additional options for it. I already have a good, paid-for, registered d/l mngr. Wouldn't this so-called free one put mine out of operation? Would you d/l the mngr? I think I should forget it and move on but don't have the knowledge to make a reasoned decision. Thanks for any help or advise to a lamentable no-know person.
