Ok now I know what I did... when I came to the doors I, like an idiot, just started opening doors willy-nilly even if I could tell they led nowhere cause I thought maybe there was something secret behind them and I also figured I would be able to open all the doors. Turns out I opened just about every door BUT the 2 that led to the ruby... heh. Luckily I just started from an earlier save and now everything is all good. Thanks for the help Ric... great game by the way!
