But I find it positive that I don't have to disable and configure as many things on Linux as with Windows.

My SSD with Windows on it just suicided without warning (Fun fact: The last time a drive died on me like this was a quarter of a century ago and I lost all my dmod stuff. But not this time, I've learned!), so I had to reinstall Windows on a different drive. All the tweaking and disabling and downloading is infuriating, although I didn't think Linux was any better in that regard. I thought Linux was kinda all about tweaking and fiddling with every minuscule detail to get it just so.
