Sorry, but when you suddenly keep saying the word "straw man", it just seems silly. Kinda reminds me of when DinkDoodler started saying "darling", all the time.
The rest of your post is basically just saying "You said we should do it like this. I think we shouldn't". I have most of humanity on my side with what I say. You're the first, and pretty much the only person so far, who I've seen be interested in XBox One.
Back to my original point; I think you just have trouble accepting how awful the XBox One seems to be. It's true neither console has been released yet. And that is the exact reason why people are not judging the consoles, but are judging how the consoles are looking so far.
