XBox One has already proven to be utter garbage. I really wouldn't want to have a conversation with one of those people who'll defend a gaming console to his death, but since I respect you...

Not weird at all. A person can be both a Star Wars and a Star Trek fanboy, without picking a side.
Not it doesn't. Not claiming it as fact is sensible, because it's a silly notion. I can be a fan of both consoles. Why not? People can like multiple devices equally. Just because I'm talking about one, that in no way reflects my opinion of another. To think so is... fanboyish?
Saying "No it doesn't" is rather silly, because it does to me, and I'd assume a lot of other people too. It would probably look like that to you too. The rest what you stated there, is just a repeat of what I said. Except for the final sentence, which I find quite odd, since I never said anything about being a fanboy, in that part of text, which that reply was intended for.
Strawman again. You're misappropriating my words. People stating facts aren't idiots. That would be foolish of me to say. I'm saying that a lot of the naysayers think they know the facts, but don't, because they only listen to PR and what their friends have said. Therefore people often don't see the whole picture. It's true that some people will say "Hey, XBox One sucks" just because their friend did. But in this case, it's too many people in too little time, and none of the problems I've heard people have with the console, have actually been false information yet.

My point is: I have very high doubts you would be calling anyone idiot in the first place, if it was XBox which was on the dominating side of the two consoles. This also partly applies to the whole "you're picking XBox's side" thing. It's just a vibe your messages are sending.
Neither console has even been released yet. There's a big difference between "not suitable for me and I don't want it" and "it's awful and shoot and wow microsoft go duck yourselves." For example, I know a guy for who the XBox One is far better than the PS4 for his particular circumstance, due to the account sharing stuff. It'll save him a lot of money. In his situation, it's great. For someone living out in the sticks without a good internet connection? It's not suitable.
Mmhmmm. Interesting. That seems to apply to my "XBox is for the more snobbier people" -theory. But we'll leave that alone, since it has nothing to do with the entire conversation.
Clearly proven? Really? It's far too early for such a judgement. It's got better core specs, true, but that doesn't transfer to being a better gaming console. PS3 has huge problems with updating games when compared to the 360. Have Sony fixed their infrastructure in this area? I hope so, because they've got almost everything else spot on so far.
Forget all that technological crap. I think a good old statement of "People have spoken" fits here. They've shown XBox is crap and they don't want it. I doubt pretty much the whole World would be saying "PS4 is better and XBox is crap" for absolute no reason at all. And as I said, it's true some people are just saying that for the heck of it, but most of the complaints are well justified and actually looked into.
And as for your final statement about them both looking superb consoles. Well, that's your opinion and I respect it. Personally, I have no interest in either one, as I said. Give me a good old PSX over either one of them any day.
