Smells like a trojan. My guess is that it is not trying to "remove" your space but is creating its own, very large files to fill up the hard drive. You could try to identify the trojan with a variety of antivirus or software avalable out there. If you don't feel like it, format your hard drive and reinstall OS.

Also, never ever trust free antivirus software.
