Wow, that's a first of my life.
And a game doesn't need to be 3D these days. They made the new Sonic game 2d, like the old ones, and people were like "Yeah, finally the gaming industry is doing something correct again and getting out of that crappy 3D that didn't fit these games at all!". Don't get me wrong, some games are definitely better suited with 3D. Dink's not one of them.
EDIT: And just to not completely destroy your ideas about 3D, you could create a 3D Dink editor, and show it to Seth. If he likes it, he may even use it to create Dink 2 in 3D. Seth's an open-minded guy, and quite frankly, anything's possible with him. Heck, I guess little girls worshiping Dead Dragon Carcass is proof of that.
