Actually a good idea would be to make a new graphics base folder, as the one with the original game, but rearranged to include the old and the best of the newly developed graphics. Re-write the dinkini and make sure no space is wasted. Some sequences in the dink base graphics only includes a few sprites and could be moved togheter with other sequences to save space, etc. Then add a new option in DFArc for running the DMOD with the new base graphics folder, for new DMODs that can use this folder as the base graph folder instead.
