merder: This is why trains exist, my friend Though I must admit I have no clue where you live. At all.

Synbi: Finnish meet? If you, or any other Finn for that matter, is willing to organize it, I'm in. Even in winter. Though preferably not this winter.

Skull: I'm aware I won't get the entire DN to come. I don't really expect them to. But if we can get 5 people, some of them not knowing of it until 2 days in advance, it seems like the logical next step to make the invitation public, lots of months in advance (and I'm aware it may already be too late for some of the Southern hemisphere folks who may consider going).

If we end up with 5 people? Awesome. If, through posting it early on the forum, we get more? Even better. There are many people I'd like to meet, and I'm sure that's mutual.

There are people here who are here just to play Dink and D-Mods. This meet is probably not for them. There are also people here who have made friends they've known for longer than some of their real-life friends. This meet is for them.
To be honest, the people I expect to come either live nearby, or are college-aged people who're in a crazy mood and think it'd be fun to meet other Dinkers. So what if that's not a large part of the community, there are still more than 5 of them. This plan cannot fail.
