Granted, half the crap I dream of would be nightmares to a normal person. So my nightmare was what you would call 'A time to visit a shrink'.

I actually know why I had a nightmare. It was because I found out a few things about the Earthbound boss, Giygas that is really, really creepy.
So, yeah. I did research into the game and found some creepy things out. One of which is that one of the locations 'Cave of the Past' holds the Devil's Machine. Devil's Machine. Creepy.
There you find Ness' face in what appears at first glance to be an eyeball. Next, you fight Pokey Minch and Giygas, whaling on Pokey until he's gone. Then the machine is turned off and Giygas is released.
Giygas' theme and forms Note! May contain content unsuitable for people under the age of fifteen and/or are bleeding heart liberals.
So, what could be so bad about Giygas that it would cause nightmares that even I think are insane? For starters, Giygas talks like a freaking mental patient who thinks he's a seven year old boy! Quoted from a Wikia page:Shigesato Itoi has stated that his inspiration for Giygas' speech in EarthBound came from a traumatic childhood experience where he accidentally walked into an adult movie theater and caught a glimpse of a rape scene in the 1957 film "The Military Policeman and the Dismembered Beauty" In actuality, there was no rape scene in this film, instead a murder scene. As Itoi was a child at the time, he has stated his lasting memory of this experience is fuzzy at best. YEEAAAHHHHH... Not only that, but that very 'rape scene' was what gave birth to Giygas' final form. Another Quote: Giygas is also considered by many gamers the most disturbing boss battle in any video game, as his final form resembles a fetus. It is also noted that the overworld before the battle looks like the cervix and the womb.
If you don't see it in the video I linked, you might want to look a bit closer, The video shows it easily. Now, note that once you see it, you can't un-see it. So, yeah. What's more creepy is that you go into the past to fight him at his weakest. Now, unless you haven't done the math; Traumatic experience+ fighting Giygas in the past + a final form too coincidential to be unintentional = Itoi wanting the players to essentially abort Giygas. Any thoughts?
