Unlike most ninja's, the Ninja Master started out as a pirate, until the inevitable "Pirates Suck" versus "Ninjas Suck" flamewar of the 20th Century. So, with a stolen Time Machine, a rapier, and a Ninja sword, he warped into Dink's time to find out pirates did suck, and trained himself to become a ninja with the help of Slayers.
