Ah yes, it can be very busy in the Veluwe. So if you don't like crowded areas you should probably not go in weekends or (even worse) on national holidays. On a normal working day it's good...
And I did not went to the Czech Republic this year. Last time I've been there was 2001 I think. Still I can remember it to be nice back then. I went to France this year, first I went canoeing in the Ardeche and then I went hiking in the Alps, just south of Briançon.
