Ah, no. The Cast was the result of a discussion between two different armorers.
You see, many years ago two armorers where approached to design new armor for the guard. Even though the men had worked together many times there was a fierce discussion between them. Should the armor be constructed from plate steel or cast iron?
The discussion quickly turned to rivalry and both men turned in their own design. So it was left to the guard to choose their own armor. And they choose the plate steel version.
But the losing armorer was not to be deterred, he vowed revenge on anyone wearing plate steel armor. That's why he founded the cast. They would wear his cast iron design, and overthrow everybody who chose against his design...
