My best D-Mod (Answers needed)
Hey, people. I am thinking to start working with D-Mods again, but I just want to ask a quick question.
The Rise of the Goblins/The North's Pilgrim vs. Hotel of the Middle Night/The Day after the Middle Night
Which do you think is my best D-Mod so far, and which would you like to see next. I need to know because, then I will be working on ONE D-Mod and get it ready before I start the second one, and NOT working on 2 D-Mods at one time.
NP's gonna be an Epic/Quest.
Middle Night 2 will be Romp.
The Rise of the Goblins/The North's Pilgrim vs. Hotel of the Middle Night/The Day after the Middle Night

Nice to see you're still developing! And I'd say that The Rise of the Goblins is your best DMOD.
I found the hotel of the middle night a little bit... Well I thought it didn't have good 'momentum', I was continuously stuck and there was nothing to do... So the only thing I could do was talk/hit/push everything on the map until the story somehow progressed. It did have a good atmosphere though...
I liked the rise of the goblins (see my review for more details). I'll definitely be looking forward to "The North's Pilgrim".

That sounds great, Skull. I've just rushed trough Rise of the Goblins but I did play Middle Night and it seems like your scripting was improved in Middle Night. However I feel like even if Hotel of the Middle Night was good; you should focus on the sequel to RoG instead. You've done a couple of... less approved D-Mods, but your latest has really proved that you're learning and getting better. That includes your scripting, mapping and story writing. Try your hardest and develop the sequel to RoG, I think it could be an excellent D-Mod!
Also, you shouldn't set a release date before you're almost done.
It's nice to hear that you’re back as a developer again.

Good to hear you're developing again!
I also think it's a terrific idea to develop one D-Mod at a time (although I'm working on two D-Mods myself at the moment...).

I vote for Middle Night
(and NP after
)
I liked Middle Night's atmosphere.
I didn't finish ROG yet but found it less inovative so far. Btw I was pretty pissed by the number of dialogues where you can't pass the texts with [space] (probably because the Dink sprite was made inactive instead of frozen and hidden)
I didn't find how to open "skull's secret.zip" yet, I wonder what this could be...

Please, future people. If you hated The Rise of the Goblins don't let that stop you from voting NP. Because the 2nd part is nothing like 1st. (Less cut-scenes and you CAN skip the text)
Hehe. Something gives me the idea this poll might be rigged...
I'll vote for North's Pilgrim too, even though as a quest/epic it'll take longer to make. I've played both D-Mods but Rise of the Goblins left more of an impression - already forgotten what Middle Night's about

I'll vote North's Pilgrim if I can be a goblin that dies at the hands of an alcoholic human
Then I'll be a tree related to the talking one in the original Dink Smallwood with even worse puns
I'll vote fo' rise of the gobbos if I can "kill it with burnt meat!!"
C'mon people, I need some more answers to be sure what to start creating next.
To be honest with ya all, I don't think I'll be starting neither NP or Middle Night 2 anytime soon. I know I wanted answers, but they just seem an impossible task right now.
Instead I should be staring with something new. Something that's fun to make and could get my mind off from the old games.
But trust me, someday, you WILL see NP and/or Middle Night 2. It's just a matter of time.
And I sure as hell won't stop D-Modding. NEVER!!
