Imo the best way to learn C, is not to read a tutorial or such. Imo, the best way is by looking at other ppl D-Mods to find out how they work .

SimonK, was (I dont see him on lately) my favourite D-Mod builder. I used Stone Of Balance to begin creating C scripts .

With time, you can figure out how to do several things by YOURSELF. And thats the most important.

So, what is your best method of learning C?

I'd say studying the Rudiment of Scripting. I learned a lot.

Yeah, I agree, I'm not much of a tutorial person either.

Although they can really help a lot, especially after you've got "the hang of it", so to speak, when the stuff being explained starts sounding familiar and not something alien you've got no grasp of.

In retrospective I'm quite happy that I started creating DMODs without many tutorials. I really learned a lot by making mistakes, not only about DinkC but about programming in general as well. If my goal would have been to learn DMODing I would probably have used tutorials. But my goal was to have fun, so I'm happy that I (largely) did it without.

Just for the record, I submitted a new tutorial a few minutes ago... Talk about timing...
