Greatest D-mod ever!
Alright before i get on with the main point of this topic i would like to start off with a few things. first of all i would like to say "hello everyone, *waves hand* im happy to be here." the first time i ever playd dink smallwood was about 7 years ago but my computer got a virus before i was able to finish the game. it was about a year afterwords before i was able to buy a new computer and by that time i had forgot all about dink but i resently was reminded by my older sister about the game while we were having a conversation and i went right away and downloaded the game. that was about a week ago and i have since beaten the game and it was very VERY entertaining. i want to go ahead and beat the D-mod that comes with the game but after i do that i hope to download some other D-mods. thing is i dont realy know whitch D-mods are realy good, so i would like as many suggestions as possible from all of you. i already looked in the D-mod section and sorted them all by rating but realy i dont have the attention span to look at all the ones with good ratings to see if they look good. so ya basicaly please tell me any good D-mods you think are realy worth downloading. Thanks!
Probably you should start with a romp or two, to get into "the Dink spirit", and try to pick an easy one, for start. The first D-Mod I played was Cycles of Evil.
I reckon "The Green Voice in my Head - Part I - Hangover & Agony" by Raven and "Mayhem" by Paul Pliska are two of the bestest, funnest romps/ small quests ever. Do check them out if you love dink smallwood or jump off a cliff.
well, dont. do. the latter option.
The Pilgrims Quest is one of the all time greats - download right now! what are you even reading dis for?!

Anything by SimonK (currently I am replaying SOB (Stone of Balance)
The only reason I disagree with schnapper on is the "Green Voice in my Head pt1" d-mod, since it comes with a stupid cheat-file (or mine did anyway)
"Cloud Castle" 1 & 2 are good ones, and I definitely recommend "I, Kara Gu" as well.

Having recently joined myself, I have played probably 40-50 D-mods in the last 3 months or so. I started by going to the files section, selecting D-mod category, and then sorting in decending order on the rating column. The ones I liked the most include most of what others mentioned, esp. SimonK's (just beware of adult themes), along with Lyna's Story, Prophecy of the Ancients, and As Good As Eternity. Happy playing.
My favorite was Cast Awakening.
I don't know why but I think it's because you feel like you got a hell lot stronger at the end of the game. You get to upgrade your stats twice when you level up and your spells get about two more additional effects when you have more magic, and it was awesome when I used a fireball (or the water spell) at a... whatdoyoucallthat? Rainbow blobs? Whatever just try it if you didn't already.

Reviving old threads... There's something I see rarely around here.
