Hi, i am new to dink Smallwood, and i have a few questions about the editor:

1. when i run the editor in windowed mode, all of the sprites are about half to 1/4 of their normal width, and black and white. does anyone know what causes this?

NOTE: when i run the editor in full screen mode, the sprite problems are corrected, however, there are some issues when i load the entire map as small thumbnails.

also, when i run dink in windowed mode, there are no issues, and everything displays fine.

any suggestions for how to run in windowed mode and make it display correctly?

2. What editor did you used?

NO!! ImageShack sucks!! It sucks more than a chick sucks on a lollipop! Use PhotoBucket. It's way better than ImageShack!

There's one vital difference, one that causes me to pick Imageshack over Photobucket. Unless you can prove me otherwise, the former requires no username and password, the latter does. This is enough to cause me to choose the former for such a small task as uploading screenshots.

And in any case, what sucks so much about Imageshack, if I may ask?

People post pornography on ImageShack. And bad pictures. That's what's so bad about it. And, because of that, my Dad blocked it. So I can't view any ImageShack pictures without a proxy server, and that's dang annoying.

The fact that your dad has some strange ideas doesn't make Imageshack bad. Nobody forces you to watch the porn and the "bad" pictures. When I post a screenshot, like most other people, I reckon, I cannot do annoying workarounds because of people who have unfortunate Internet settings like you.

Seriously. Your dad should stop playing China and talk to his kids about stuff instead of just blocking random sites because he finds that they *may* contain questionable material.

DD95, you're talking shoot. It's the users being bad, the service itself is quite awesome.

so your saying that if people who use your service are bad, then your service is bad? lets say you were an IT guy. people asked for you to fix there computers and you have a small shop somewhere for computer repairs. lets say a criminal wanted his computer fixed so he could comit internet crime. but you were not aware of this. the criminal goes home, hacks a bank account and steals lots of money. so that makes YOU a bad person for fixing his computer, even though you didn't even realise what his intentions were.

and can't you un-block sites anyway?

if you tried to block every porn site on the net it would take years, probably decades. and you have to know which ones have porn too, so you have to look...

also, trying to block porn sites also blocks other services (wether illegal serial cracks for software-many have 'ads', or perfectly legal like imageshack) so who cares just ignore it

That's why my Father uses DansGuardian. He downloads default settings and merges them together. This way, practically every single porn site ever found anywhere is blocked!

And yes, I know, ImageShack does have good service, and I do have workarounds to view ImageShack pictures posted by you guys, but I'd rather just convert everybody to PhotoBucket.
