Adventures of Dink Smallwood Part 2: The Song of an Ancient Wind

June 28th 2007, 02:06 PM
Hi, If I go to the healer in the first town at the beginning, and when chatting to her press nevermind (instead of getting healed or buying potions) the game freezes. This has happened to me twice now - anyone had the same problem?

Yeah it's happening to me when I press 'leave'. It's done it twice now.

Everyone should get a pizza for free in each week.
Why don't you both add unfreeze(1); into the script of one NPC that had a bug?Just find
if (&result == x)
Where x is a number where you choose from ""

Because the scripts are (Or should be) in .d form?

No they shouldn't.

Generally authors use .c format (open source, if you will), so the files are easily edited. It's especially useful in instances such as this.

I don't know what format they are in for this d-mod, but I'd assume they are .c files.

Uh, Sabre...
He made this D-Mod!

If that is the problem he'll probably upload a patch if he doesn't want to release the source (at least I hope so!).

Hmm, so he did. My bad.

I kinda though Goku made it. Not sure why. Anyway, .d files are rubbish. I don't see why anyone would use them.

Found another bug, not quite so bad though

If you swap from the duck to the dagger (just after Dink says it's a Duck but before the duck responds) Dink will be holding the dagger but won't actually be able to use it. Clicking on the dagger icon again increases your stats by 2... after they've already been increased... Needless to say I already have 22 attack points and haven't barely been playing.

Hope this helps, you might want to release the source in the next release so everyone else can help find any mistakes.
