Tonight I listed a couple items on Craigslist: a Nikon D50 SLR camera, and a Samsung PDA/Phone combo. I got a few replies within the first 20 minutes, or so, but the ones that came later were clearly scams. I received an email from a 'Mary Smith' who showed interest in both of my items. Read through the following for a laugh:

Do you still it for sale??

I figure maybe I can help get our country out of debt, and maybe help my state a bit too. I hope "she" replies. I edited out my email address since I don't much like spam bot harvesting.

Sorry, I require the funds before I send the item. In the US, you pay
for something, and then you get it. I don't know about in Nigeria, but
that's how it works here. Okay.

That Powerbook story was so funny when I read it.

What gets me is he keeps addressing me as Janet when I keep singing my name as Andrew.

Maybe your singing is in fact grunting and he tries to figure your name out along the way.

It's bad markup and copy and paste style, prevents me from reading it, but I get it that you're going to sell something online? I wouldn't done that, most people are poor and scam you.
