Is there any way of adjusting the volume of my music files, they all appear to be too loud and when you play you can't really hear the sound effects.

I doubt it, because all the other games I play are fine, this is just my d-mod

I object
When does Windows state that the midi's where last changed? If it's all on the same date you're in trouble.
The only thing you can do (for as far as I know) is throw the midis away in the recycle bin and place new ones in their place. I've had this problem once with a DMOD I played (CC2) and thus reïnstalling solved the problem. And I had the problem once when I was developing (Yay for backups!).

I don't know how the midi's get corrupted, it might have something to do with background programs running (in particular audioprograms), but I don't know...
