I have no idea what with your little windinkedit problem, that doesnt happen to me, but for your "I've never made a dmod befor and i need help i have know idea how to do this!!", there are plenty of tutorials you can download that should explain just about everything, I reccomend "The rudiments of scripting 1.1" That kicks ass

I can try to help here. First of all, download Mike Snyders "skeleton B", then unzip it in your dink smallwood folder. Now open windinkedit and press "open". A D-Mod named skeleton b, (or something like that) hsould be there then

I hope this helps

Perhaps you may want to collaborate with someone to do one of your D-Mods???

I am not sure why it is closing down... Usually I maximixe it first, before I open the D-Mod, otherwise it has a tendency to mess up... Also, make sure that you have the upgraded version of windinkedit, as it fixes many of the bugs that were in the previous version. If you still encounter a problem try doing this:

1. open DFARC2
2. goto options under the edit tab.
3. Click CHOOSE EDITOR APPLICATION, and scroll down until you find Windinkedit.
4. check the box that says "SHOW DEVELOPER BUTTONS" , and then click OKAY.
5. Click the edit button (next to play), for the corresponding D-Mod.
6. This should launch Windinkedit with the map for the D-Mod of your choice already loaded.

for one, I'm having a hard time reading anything you type, and two, when you tell the computer to download it it should ask you where you want it

GlennGlenn doesn't want a custom title.
I suggest to download "EasyDinkC" it has a nice "create D-Mod" feature. And check if your computer equals to the specs for WinDinkEdit.

I am experiencing some of these problems, windinkedit always crashes whenever i try to start, or edit an existing D-Mod. I HAVE skeliton B, and set it to use it, but it just crashes again. I am running it on Windows 98, would this cause this problem. Or would i have needed to download the first version of windinkedit, then the new version.

Thank ye Kindly,
Echo

No, both versions are different standalone versions that both should work. Just how crashes it? Does it close down? Does it give the windows error box? If so, does it point to some library?

It comes up with "illegal opperation" twice, one when it crashes, then the next time you open it, it comes up again, but windinkedit doesn't close.

It asked for a library at first, but I told it to use Skeliton B, which I downloaded.

Yes, illegal operation. But like I said, does it state any DLL files when it does that? If not, I can't help you any further...
