I think that it was really more of Wesley McElwee's and Gary Hertel's work in their D-Mods that proved more inspirational for the style that D-Mods today are made... The standard overworld with dungeon theme, where all the borders appear natural and realistic- opposed to the ol` fences to make screen borders- with a map that all together feels perfectly linear. As such, Snyder's D-Mods were not bad, persay, but have a different feel from the ones that were made later, such as SOB, Cast Initiation, and Cloud Castle.

Yeah, Beuc managed to grab a copy of the forums. But, they only go back to around January 1999.

I still have a copy, if you're interested.

yeah i want a copy! that was the only board i used, for years, before i ever went to the official board. then when it was moved to the dink network i think thats when this site really exploded but then mikes board was still around for quite a while for people asking some pretty good development questions. it seems like now the development questions are all just bugs or "newb" questions and that board had a lot more advanced discussions. but maybe its just me remembering things strangely.

email it to me if you could i think it should be uploaded into the files personally
