The Dink Network

This might seem like a stupid question, but how do I get into S. Castle? The door is closed to me.
I don't know if this is related, but I've already killed the monster in Citra and talked to Rain, but still can't get access to Viel. The bridge is still blocked. What am I doing wrong?

It's those crappy bugs... I don't even bother saying "strange" because that effect is just ordinary. Not that I have crashed into the same bug, but many other bugs in this game...

IIRC (and using the walkthrough as a guide, check the dink solutions) you can't get into southtown castle until you've talked to the people in the northernmost village. This is across the bridge, so if you haven't made it across there then I'm not sure what's wrong, assuming that you've killed the monster, talked to Rain for your reward and rested.

Thanks Arik. It is indeed impossible until the guys in Mountain Village have been interrogated. This is not clearissimo from the walkthrough. Having talked to the folks in mountain village, the castle is now open.
